Operating a pipe band isn't cheap. As a non-profit organization, the band counts on performance fees, contest winnings, and membership dues to help achieve its mandate. None of it, however, would be possible without its sponsors. The biggest single contributor to the band is The St. Andrew's Society of Winnipeg, and for this the band has taken its name.
The band would also like to thank Shell Canada for its financial assistance. Supporting not-for-profit organizations that benefit the community is important to Shell. Through its Community Service Fund, Shell recognizes and supports its employees, retirees and marketing partners who give personal time to not-for-profit organizations across Canada.
You don't have to be the naming sponsor to make a difference, ANY amount will help the band, no matter how small. For more information on how to help out financially, contact a member of the band, or email the band's Secretary at Secretary@SASPB.com.
The band also relies on donations of time and talent from its friends and supporters. If you become a part of the band's Volunteer Registry, from time to time a member of the organization may contact you for assistance at a band event.
The membership would like to thank all of its supporters and looks forward to sharing its enthusiasm for pipe band music with them.
